Connecticut Hydrogen-Fuel Cell Coalition
Cluster Development

The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. (CCAT), working in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), hosted a cluster strategy work session on October 11, 2007 for the Connecticut Hydrogen and Fuel Cell industry.

The overall objective of the cluster is to facilitate interaction and opportunities among original equipment manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, economic foundation institutions, and customers to support economic development in the state around the hydrogen and fuel cell industry and supply chain. Approximately 60 representatives participated in the cluster strategy work session.

The focus of the cluster strategy work session was to identify the following:

  • challenges that the industry faces,
  • actions on which the participants are willing to work with others to overcome the challenges,
  • priority actions for each priority challenge, and
  • an organizational structural that the participants will support.
