Job Description

An immediate opportunity exists for a candidate experienced in supporting electromechanical equipment with a strong electrical and controls background.
• Participate in the development of new products, new features, and product updates including verification and validation
• Define and refine control architectures for commercial industrial products
• Design hardwired controls, including safety systems per industrial machinery codes and standards
• Select components and define interfaces for system instrumentation
• Generate component/sub-system requirement specifications
• Document designs in the form of schematics, BOM, and reports
• Fabricate, integrate, and test systems
• Support technical service team for fielded products and operations team for product manufacturing
• Gather customer needs and then establish clear/concise requirements, models, specifications, HW/SW system architectures, test plans, reports, schematics, etc.

Minimum 3 Years Experience
• Three years of industry related experience. (Hydrogen Systems, HVAC, Industrial Machines)
• Electrical systems design from concept to fielded hardware
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Demonstrated electrical design per machinery codes and standards, e.g. NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, IEC 60204-1, etc.
• Component selection and application for systems located in both normal and hazardous areas
• Real Time process control using algorithms such as PID or state-space methods
• Experience with programmable logic controllers
• Labview and associated data acquisition systems design and implementation
• Knowledge of communication protocols (CANBUS, MODBUS, etc.)
