The Fifth International Conference on Fuel Cell Science, Engineering and Technology June 18-20, 2007
The Connecticut Hydrogen – Fuel Cell Coalition (Coalition) was an exhibitor at the Fifth International Conference on Fuel Cell Science, Engineering and Technology, which took place June 18th-20th, 2007 in Brooklyn, New York. The Conference was sponsored, in part, by two members of the Coalition: the Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center and the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund. The Coalition participated in this conference with the intent of showcasing Coalition members’ companies and organizations, attracting businesses to Connecticut, and promoting the Coalition. The conference was attended by over 400 representatives from fuel cell companies, academic and research institutions, non-profit organizations, and government agencies from around the country and the globe. Other Coalition members that exhibited at the Conference included the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund and FuelCell Energy, Inc.
Many Coalition members contributed to the conference proceedings including:
o CCAT representatives chaired three technical sessions;
o UTC Power representatives gave several presentations, including several sessions’ keynote lectures;
o FuelCell Energy, Inc. gave several technical presentations, served as keynote speakers and sessions’ chair, included in panel discussions, and exhibited a poster;
o Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center sent the most representatives, who exhibited five posters, participated in 15 technical presentations, chaired many sessions, and offered administrative support to ASME staff. Dr. Nigel Sammes was the conference chair;
o Infinity Fuel Cell and Hydrogen representatives were included in a panel discussion as well as acting as session chair; and
o Avālence, LLC and GenCell Corp. were also included in panel discussions and Distributed Energy Systems Corp exhibited a poster.
