"Green" Vehicle Technology Expo and Workshop
The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc participated at the "Green" Vehicle Technology Expo and Workshop on October 23, 2007. The Technology Expo and Workshop was attended by representatives from the leading companies providing CNG, hydrogen and hybrid vehicles to municipal and private fleets. Joel Rinebold, Director of Energy Initiatives at the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. presented information on the development of the Plan for Fuel Cell Economic Development (Hydrogen Roadmap). In addition, the Connecticut Hydrogen-Fuel Cell Coalition had an informational booth at the Technology Expo.
The Technology Expo and Workshop provided information on the cost of commercially available technologies and the vehicle applications that make the most sense for these fuel types. In addition, participants were provided with the latest information on biodiesel, ethanol, idle reduction technologies, funding programs and innovative financing mechanisms for alternative fuel and related infrastructure programs. The Expo and Workshop was sponsored by the Clean Cities Coalitions of Connecticut and Rhode Island.
